CLASS INFORMATION (as of November 2010)
Please note:
This class is intended for shooters possessing at least "intermediate"
experience and skill. It is not intended for new or novice shooters. If
you are a new or novice shooter, I recommend we review your skill
level and decide an appropriate course of action to bring you to a level
needed to take the concealed weapon course.
IMPORTANT
Bring firearms and equipment to class which are familiar to you...this is
not the venue to try out new firearms or equipment. If you are an
intermediate or advanced shooter and you purchase new firearm(s)
and equipment, please ensure you are well-practiced with it before the
class. Remember - "motor muscle memory"!
This class will be taught in accordance with the New Mexico Concealed Handgun
Carry Act of 2003 and as amended in 2005.
IMPORTANT!
The certificate of completion is only good for 90 days. You MUST file
your CCW application before the 90-day period is up. If you do not,
you will be required to take the class again.
Classes will be held at the Los Alamos Sportsmen's Club, Rendija Canyon, Los
Alamos, New Mexico (Click here for map and directions)
I will coordinate with other activities at the Club to secure dates and times for
classes.
Concealed Carry Class Fee:
As of January 2010, the concealed carry class fee is $150 and includes
a fee for a 2nd firearm.
NOTE: A 2nd firearm is defined as a firearm of a different category and caliber
from the first.
For example, one firearm might be a .357 magnum revolver, another
might be a 9mm semi-automatic.
Paying the class fee will reserve slots on a "first come, first served" basis.
Each class size is limited to ten (10) students to maintain quality of instruction
and safety.
Minimum class size is ten (10) students. A class will not be conducted
until at least 10 students are confirmed for a specific class date.
Students with paid reservations will get "rolled over" until a minimum
class size is attained.

PRICING POLICY:
Fees for the class will generally be posted on this website, however I
have no obligation to do so. Class fees should be individually confirmed
either by phone or e-mail. I reserve the right to increase or decrease
fees at any time without formal notification to potential students. I
reserve the right to charge less than published or verbally stated fees
for certain people under certain circumstances.
REQUIREMENTS TO HOLD A SLOT:
Slots for a concealed carry class are obtained on a first-come,
first-served basis via receipt of a check for the fee. Checks received are
NOT negotiated until the class - they are only to hold and guarantee
class slots.
REFUND POLICY:
Tuition for the concealed carry class is non-refundable. If, for some
reason, you cannot attend a class for which you have already
submitted a check for the fee, you can move to an open slot in an
upcoming class, or opt for private lessons at the rate of $35/hour.
Private lessons may be scheduled at mutually agreed upon times and
dates. Your paid CCW class fee will purchase about 5 hours of private
lessons.
